Notification Preferences
Customize which notifications you receive and how you receive them.
Accessing Preferences
- Click the bell icon and then Preferences, or
- Navigate to Settings > Notifications from the sidebar
Configuring Preferences
For each notification type, you can choose your preferred delivery channels:

| In-app | Notifications appear in the Notification Center within the app |
| Push | Real-time push notifications to your browser or mobile device |
| Notification sent to your email address |
Available Notification Types
You can configure preferences for:
- Student milestones — New Birth and First Steps completions
- Flags and alerts — When students are flagged for attention
- Study updates — New assignments, lesson completions
- Class updates — Enrollment changes, attendance reminders
- Team updates — New users, role changes
- System updates — Platform announcements and maintenance notices
Turning Off Notifications
To stop receiving a specific type of notification:
- Open Notification Preferences
- Find the notification type
- Toggle off all channels (in-app, push, email)
- Save your changes
tip
We recommend keeping in-app notifications enabled for all types, as they're non-intrusive and ensure you don't miss important updates. You can selectively disable push and email for less critical notifications.
Weekly Digest
Leaders and admins may receive a weekly digest email summarizing activity in their church. This includes:
- New students added
- Milestones achieved
- Students needing attention
- Overall engagement summary
The weekly digest is sent automatically and can be configured in your notification preferences.
