The Classes feature provides a full class management system for your church — from creating class definitions to scheduling sessions, managing enrollments, and tracking attendance.

Key Concepts

Term	Description
Class	A class definition (e.g., "New Believer Class," "Leadership Training")
Class Instance	A scheduled offering of a class with a specific teacher, dates, and enrolled students
Enrollment	A student's registration in a class instance
Attendance	A record of whether an enrolled student attended a specific session
Learning Track	An ordered sequence of classes with prerequisites Harvest+

How Classes Work

1. An admin creates a class definition (what the class is about)
2. A leader schedules an instance of that class (when it happens, who teaches it)
3. Students are enrolled in the instance
4. Each session, the teacher takes attendance
5. When the instance is complete, results are recorded

Class Types

Classes can be configured as:

• Fixed-length — A defined number of sessions (e.g., 8-week class)
• Ongoing — Continuous classes with no set end date (e.g., weekly Bible study)

Accessing Classes

• Leaders and Admins: Navigate to Classes in the sidebar
• Teachers: See their assigned class instances on the dashboard and Classes page
• Students: See enrolled classes under My Classes in the sidebar

Instance Statuses

Status	Meaning
Scheduled	Instance is set up but hasn't started
Active	Instance is currently in progress
Completed	Instance has finished
Cancelled	Instance was cancelled
