Study Templates
Study templates are reusable curricula that make it easy to launch new Bible studies without recreating the lesson plan from scratch.
What Is a Study Template?
A study template defines a standard set of lessons that can be applied when creating a new study. Think of it as a pre-built curriculum:
- Template name — e.g., "New Believer Foundations," "Book of Romans"
- Description — What the curriculum covers
- Lessons — The full list of lessons in order
Creating a Template
- Navigate to Settings > Bible Studies (admin only)
- Click New Template
- Enter the template name and description
- Add lessons to the template:
- Lesson title
- Lesson number (order)
- Optional description
- Click Save
Using a Template
When creating a new study:
- Select the Use Template option
- Choose from your available templates
- The study will be pre-populated with the template's lessons
- Customize as needed and save
Editing a Template
- Go to Settings > Bible Studies
- Click on the template you want to edit
- Modify the name, description, or lessons
- Click Save
info
Editing a template does not affect studies that were already created from it. Changes only apply to new studies created from the template going forward.
Sharing Templates Across Churches
If you're part of a church network Multiply+, templates can be shared across churches in your network. A shared template from a parent church will appear in the template list for connected churches.
