New Birth Tracking

New Birth tracking is at the core of Apostolic Path. Based on Acts 2:38, it allows you to record and monitor each student's progress through the three milestones of the New Birth experience.

New Birth Journey

The Three Milestones

Every student's spiritual journey is tracked through these three milestones:

1. Repentance

The first step of the New Birth — a heartfelt turning to God. When a student repents, record this milestone with the date it occurred.

2. Water Baptism

Baptism in Jesus' name by immersion. Record the date of the student's water baptism.

3. Holy Ghost

Receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost with the initial evidence of speaking in other tongues. Record the date when the student receives the Holy Ghost.

Recording a Milestone

To record a New Birth milestone for a student:

  1. Navigate to Students and click on the student's name
  2. In the New Birth section of their profile, find the milestone you want to record
  3. Click on the milestone to mark it as complete
  4. Enter the date it occurred
  5. Click Save

The milestone will now show as completed with the recorded date.

info

New Birth milestones can be recorded in any order. While the spiritual journey typically progresses Repentance → Water Baptism → Holy Ghost, you can record them as they happen.

Viewing New Birth Status

You can see New Birth status in several places:

  • Student roster — Icons next to each student's name indicate which milestones are completed
  • Student profile — The full New Birth tracker with dates
  • Dashboard — Students see their own status; leaders see church-wide statistics
  • Reports — New Birth completion data is included in church reports

New Birth on the Student Dashboard

Students who log into their own accounts can see their New Birth status on their My Progress page. They can view which milestones have been recorded but cannot modify them — only leaders and admins can record milestones.

Using New Birth Data

New Birth data helps you understand where your church is spiritually:

  • How many students have been baptized but haven't yet received the Holy Ghost?
  • How many students have repented but haven't been baptized?
  • What's your church's overall New Birth completion rate?

These insights are available on the Leader/Admin Dashboard and in Reports.
