Attention List

The Attention List is an automatically generated queue of students who may need follow-up from leadership. It helps ensure no one slips through the cracks.

Accessing the Attention List​

You can access the attention list in two ways:

  1. Dashboard widget — A summary appears on the Leader/Admin dashboard
  2. Dedicated page — Navigate to Attention in the sidebar for the full list

What Triggers an Attention Item​

Students appear on the attention list based on criteria such as:

  • Missing milestones — Students who have been in the system for a while but haven't completed key New Birth milestones
  • Stalled First Steps — Students who started but haven't progressed in their First Steps
  • Absence flags — Students flagged as absent
  • No teacher assigned — Students without an assigned teacher for personal follow-up
  • Active pastoral flags — Students with unresolved flags

Taking Action​

From the attention list, you can:

  1. Click on a student to open their profile
  2. Assign a teacher if they don't have one
  3. Add a note to record your follow-up
  4. Resolve flags once the situation is addressed

Unassigned Students​

A separate Unassigned view (also accessible from the sidebar) shows all students who don't currently have a teacher assigned. This makes it easy for admins to distribute shepherding responsibilities across the team.

Regularly reviewing the Attention List is one of the best ways to keep your discipleship program healthy. Consider making it part of your weekly leadership routine.
