You can change your subscription plan at any time to match your church's needs.
Upgrading Your Plan
To upgrade to a higher-tier plan:
- Navigate to Settings > Subscription
- Click Change Plan (or Upgrade)
- Select the new plan
- Complete the checkout process through Stripe
- Your new features will be available immediately
When upgrading:
- You're charged the prorated difference for the remainder of your current billing period
- New features are unlocked immediately
- Your student, teacher, and class limits increase to the new plan's levels
Downgrading Your Plan
To downgrade to a lower-tier plan:
- Navigate to Settings > Subscription
- Click Change Plan
- Select the lower plan
- Confirm the downgrade
Downgrade Grace Period
When you downgrade, Apostolic Path provides a 10-day grace period to adjust:
- If you have more students, teachers, or classes than the new plan allows, you'll see a banner explaining what needs to change
- During the grace period, you can reduce your usage to fit within the new plan's limits
- After 10 days, over-limit resources will be automatically deactivated (not deleted)
What Happens to Over-Limit Resources
- Students: Excess students are deactivated (most recently added first)
- Teachers: Excess teachers lose teacher access
- Classes: Excess classes are deactivated
- Features: Tier-specific features (Bible studies, learning tracks, etc.) become inaccessible
caution
Deactivated resources are not deleted. If you upgrade again later, they can be reactivated. However, during the downgrade, affected students and teachers won't be able to access the platform.
Feature Availability After Downgrade
Features exclusive to higher tiers will no longer be accessible:
| Downgrading from | You'll lose access to |
|---|---|
| Outreach → Plant | Bible studies, classes, teacher assignment, advanced analytics |
| Harvest → Outreach | Learning tracks, CSV export, retention analytics, unlimited classes |
| Multiply → Harvest | Multi-church dashboard, cross-church reporting |

Upgrade Prompts
Throughout the application, if you try to access a feature that's not available on your current plan, you'll see an upgrade prompt explaining which plan includes that feature and offering a quick link to upgrade.
